30 June 07 - 21:39Wii games on the horizon

This past week I received my complimentary copy of Nintendo Power magazine. By registering three Nintendo products, I was offered the opportunity to receive three free copies of Nintendo's gaming magazine. Strangely enough, Nintendo Power contains a lot more information than I first expected and fewer ads. I was pleasantly surprised.

It also seems as though Nintendo has a pretty interesting list of game titles on the horizon for their revolutionary game console, the Wii. Read More Here...

23 June 07 - 16:22Mounting network drives securely with SSHFS

This weekend I set out to set up an NFS shared directory on my home server, making it easier for us to access our personal files on all of the PCs we currently use in the house.

At first, I seemed like I had been cursed by the hacker Gods because I had difficulties getting NFS running properly. I Googled for quite a bit of time, trying to find out as much as I could about setting up Read More Here...

09 June 07 - 18:13New member of the Fon community

Well, this week my new (and free) FON wifi router arrived. So this morning I took a few minutes to hook it up. It really was pretty easy and I'm happy to say that it was a plug-and-play sort of deal to get my Mandriva 2007 laptop accessing the Internet with it, too. In case you've never heard of it, Read More Here...

01 June 07 - 20:39Monkey out-performs the Fox

I've noticed that the browser suite, SeaMonkey (once known as the Mozilla web browser), has been improving over the last few months. It's faster, goes a great job of rendering most web pages on the Net and has some nice features that are not part of the lighter Firefox web browser. Read More Here...
